What happened
What was decided
- Jill Gomez was sworn in for a term ending December 31, 2028.
- The Committee elected Catherine Payne mayor and Shawn Lipani deputy mayor for 2026. In Hillsborough the five members choose the mayor and deputy mayor from among themselves each January.
- Consent items 1–7 and 12–25 were unanimously approved. They set the rules of order, the official newspapers, the 2026 meeting schedule (R-3-2026) and professional appointments (R-18-2026), and included a bid call for police department interior renovations (R-21-2026) and video services from Fuerza Strategy Group (R-19-2026).
- Items 8–11, appointments and liaison assignments, were taken separately and approved.
