Reports and discussion
- Budget: the Finance Committee (Bucko, Isla) has been meeting weekly with the CFO, auditor, tax assessor, bond counsel and financial advisor; introduction was expected soon. Kirsh said at least 28 days must pass between the State’s receipt and approval; Pappas said the hearing and adoption could come at the first May meeting if the State returns the budget in time.
- Greymark subdivision notice: Isla raised the accuracy of the Planning Board agenda and the applicant’s notice letters for the Greymark subdivision at 1200 Route 22 East. Pappas said the agenda text came from the applicant’s submission and that future agendas will list only the applicant, location and relief sought. See data centers.
- Ring said an ordinance may be proposed to let owners of pre-existing nonconforming homes destroyed by fire rebuild on the same footprint without a variance.
- Chief Mitzak said the fourth-year, eight-week Citizens Police Academy had begun.
Public comment
- Anda Cytroen of Stangle Road asked for the budget timeline and a special meeting for public budget input, a platform for boards and committees to publish updates, and for members to speak into microphones for YouTube viewers. Bucko said meetings should be posted reliably on the township calendar and website.
- Rebecca Hassouna of Lyme Rock Road thanked the Clerk’s office for help with a raffle license.
- Hursith Adimulam of Milltown Road said his name was misspelled on his Open Space Advisory Committee resolution.
- Cory Gardner of Washington Valley Road said a 1989 township easement along his property has eroded from about 10 feet wide and 3 feet deep to about 25–30 feet wide and 25 feet deep and threatens his home’s foundation; Pappas said it is under review with the Township Engineer.
- A non-resident who declined to give a name praised the police and raised the $15,000 hazardous-cleanup bill to a crash victim.
